there's just something about shoes

Carlon has taken to putting on our shoes. Doesn't matter what kind of shoe and it's usually just one shoe at a time. This time it's my wedding shoe.

I can do it myself... sort of

This is one of those days where I just needed to keep Carlon distracted and out of my hair so I could get some work done. He'd already eaten his full lunch but how does a kid say no to a yogurt cup and his own spoon?

catching up with posts and pics

As you may have guessed I am attempting to catch up on my posting (I had a few complaints) and a little while ago I realized I hadn't snapped any pics of Carlon for a while. This pic is Brad keeping Carlon entertained in the back yard so I can get dinner fixed.

T-rouble

Yes Carlon is sweet and yes Carlon is cute and yesss, Carlon is happy....
He is also trouble... this activity lead to him getting his little fingers on some chocolate covered coffee beans that I was certain were out of his reach.

new year... new car

Well, not far into this year we had a little accident with our trusty Mazda Protege. I say little because it was but, ICBC decided to write it off. Have you ever tried to find a car in one weeks time?? It's not easy and I wouldn't recommend it. We did some online searching and a few test drives and decided we like the Hyundai Tucson the best. Hyundai is continuing to win awards for safety rating and they have some of the best mileage for the cross-over/sport utility class. We got a 2010 which isn't always the best idea but we liked the low kilometeres on it (for Brad's job it's better to start from scratch) and the longer waranty. We've had it for almost 2 months and we like it very much. So does Carlon.

so overdue.... with posting.

Here are the rest of the baptisms, to date. It has been a tremendous way to start the year and such an encouragement for Brad and his ministry to see these young people taking this step of obedience. It is our prayer that the Lord blesses them all in their lives as they continue to serve Him.

dying with Christ

The past few Sundays have been really exciting. Brad has had the opportunity to baptize several of his youth and there are more to come. I have been fortunate enough to be able to be right there, almost in the tank, to take pictures. Nothing charges me up more than witnessing a brother or sister take the step of baptism... except hearing they've taken the step of faith. I'm looking forward to the next few Sundays (at least 5 more to dunk) and for what ever else the Lord has in store for our youth.
